The main component of the latest generation of A+Hydrogel is based on the hydrophilic
monomer (2-Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate, HEMA), identical to that of contact lenses,
which can provide a highly oxygen-permeable and moisturizing environment for the
wound bed. In addition to absorbing wound exudate, maintaining moisture balance,
and expediting wound healing, it also has the characteristics of post-hygroscopic adhesion
reduction to protect the new epithelial tissue. The Hydro-balance Technology developed
by AMED enables the hydrogel to absorb excessive tissue exudate and guide the exudate
to the entire colloid through the T-shaped dispersion so that it will not cause infiltration of
the wound bed. In dry wounds, the colloid can provide moderate moisturizing for the
wound bed. In addition to expediting tissue healing and regeneration,
it can also alleviate the patient's pain.
Moisture Balance Technology
The nature of the wound is complex; In one wound, some parts may have
too much fluid, and other parts may be too dry, so it is difficult for people to treat the wound
properly just by using the ordinary dressing. A+Hydrogel’s unique moisture balance
technology contains adequate moisture, which can provide a moist environment for dry
wounds; at the same time, the colloid has excellent moisture absorption capacity, so it can
absorb excess water while having excessive fluid exudation. This will avoid infection caused
by infiltration and also the delayed wound healing time.
Retain wound growth factors
When a wound is formed, the body's natural mechanism will accumulate growth factors
on the wound to expedite healing. Ordinary dressings will absorb growth factors together
with exudate. A+Hydrogel is different. It selectively absorbs exudate, that is,
while absorbing exudate, it will retain most of the growth factors, thus accelerating
wound healing.
Antibacterial technical application
AMED has invested in the research and development of the application of UV
photopolymerized medical-level hydrogel in wound dressings since its inception and has
continued to invest in the research and development of silver-containing and
non-silver-containing antibacterial technology. Through the application of antibacterial
technology, the effective concentration of antibacterial agents has been increased for
wound dressings and wound cleaning. By increasing the exposure time and area between
the antibacterial agent and wound exudate, and by effectively enhancing the antibacterial
reaction and efficacy, it can achieve a long-term antibacterial effect of 3-7 days. In addition,
for wet, dry and foam dressings and other different materials and structures,
we kept doing research, develop and add process technology of antibacterial agents to
control the effective concentration of antibacterial agents in the dressing product and
maintain the effect.
Cooperation and technical exchanges with domestic and overseas scientific research
institutions
We focus on the research of polymer materials, continue to cooperate with domestic and
overseas scientific research institutions for technical exchanges, and develop polymer
polymerization and purification technologies for medical purposes according to the
molecular weight and molecular structure of polymer materials.
At present, different forms of natural and synthetic polymers have been researched and
developed to be suitable for different manufacturing processes and product uses.
According to this plan, the development of implantable medical device products has
been carried out. We have signed a contract with a consortium to jointly develop human
absorbable implantable medical equipment. For specific post-surgery recovery needs, we use
absorbable polymer medical materials and develop drug-containing unilateral implantable
medical equipment products. It is implanted after the operation; the drug is slowly released
to achieve curative effect. After the treatment is completed, the implants will degrade by itself
and be absorbed by the human body, so there is no need to take it out. We provide patients
with convenient and effective treatment methods.
